Our Projects

01.

Africares Community Lifeline Program

In communities across Africa, the most vulnerable children, the elderly, and widows often face hunger, poor health, and neglect in isolation. Children cannot learn on empty stomachs, while widows and older adults struggle to meet their basic needs without support.

Africares delivers an integrated Community Lifeline Program that connects these groups through a powerful cycle of care: providing daily school meals and health support for children, while also delivering essential food packages, social support, and livelihood aid for widows and the elderly.

02.

Child Health Program

Across Africa, millions of children face a double burden: attending school hungry while battling preventable health issues. Malnutrition, malaria, and parasitic infections undermine their ability to grow, learn, and thrive. A meal at school is vital, but health is the foundation for a child’s future.

Africares delivers an integrated program that combines daily nutritious school meals with essential health support, ensuring children are not only fed but are truly healthy and ready to learn.

03.

Africares School Meals Program

Across Africa, millions of children arrive at school each day with empty stomachs. Hunger is a silent barrier to learning, affecting concentration, attendance, and the future of an entire generation. For many children, especially girls, the meal they receive at school is their most reliable source of nutrition and a critical incentive to stay in the classroom, safe from early marriage or labor.

The Africares School Meals Program partners with local communities and governments to deliver daily, nutritious meals, ensuring every child is nourished, healthy, and ready to learn.
